Comedy in Celle

Alice Hoffmann is known as “es Hilde” from the popular comedy TV series “Familie Heinz Becker.” Year after year, she makes millions of viewers laugh as a sweet but simple-minded housewife. After divorcing her husband, she embodies the “nation’s apron-wearing housewife”—the woman who must now face life’s challenges on her own. A woman who begins to question both traditional norms and new ideas. Her new show, “Torschlusspanik,” deals with missed opportunities for women’s emancipation, relationships, growing older, and even death—but above all, it’s about life in old age. After all, we live until that time comes. Some, however, are already dead by then. So: think about whether there are things you’ve missed out on, things you’d like to do—and just do them. Simple? Of course, things don’t always go as planned. After all, we don’t stop laughing just because we’re getting old, but we grow old when we stop laughing. With plenty of humor and subtle, cheeky wordplay, your laugh muscles will be dancing.
